Brookdale Senior Living & The Keep A Breast Foundation

ABOUT THE ARTIST

These gifted artists have donated their time and talents to create a beautiful breast cast for the Generation Pink auction. A wonderfully creative art form has been transformed from a plain white cast to support stopping breast cancer. Brookdale Senior Living and Keep A Breast are sincerely grateful for these artists' contribution!

Wanda Cooley, Teacher

Wanda has been given a precious talent and only lays claim to that talent when she is sharing the enjoyment and benefit of her art with others.  As a member of the SandHill Art Association she received First and Second place status in professionally Juried Art Shows.   She volunteered and entertained by creating caricatures for children during  the “Zoo-BA-Lee” a benefit for the Lee Richardson Zoo in Garden City, Kansas.

Wanda is always enthusiastic when she is given the opportunity to share and teach art to her students.  Wanda has taught art in both private and community settings, children and adults.  Wanda is a current “Active Status” member of the Greater Kansas City Art Association (GKCAA) and was named “Artist of the Month” in the “Pastel” category in the month of August, 2001. Won the “People’s Choice Award of 2002”. Wanda also has membership with The Mid America Pastel Society.

Wanda enjoys working in many mediums: Oil, Watercolor, Pastel, Acrylic, Airbrush, Pottery, and Metalsmithing.  She is at home in her studio located in Westwood, Kansas and is the Art Teacher for residents at the Grand Court KC retirement community.
